the cookie is part of the protection.
in order to understand this obstacle , you need to login few times in differents user & pass.
then follow after the "check value".

is brute forcing against the server allowed or is there another possible solution?
i know how the encryption works [!possible Hint] .. so if i would use a brute force attack, i would be able to get
1. a special letter of the password
2. the length of it
this again could be brute forced until we have it completed!
